          The history of this Chaplet of Saint Michael the Archangel, goes back to a Portugese Carmelite Nun, Sister Antonia d’Astonac, who, in 1751, had a vision of Saint Michael, who told her to honour him, by nine salutations to the nine Choirs of Angels.

          By this devotion, He promised her that:
          “Whoever would practice this devotion in his honour would have, when approaching Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs.
