He began studying Judo/Ju-Jutsu, in Hawaii and Japan, Continuing Martial arts in San Diego, he studied Kang's Tae Kwon-Do/Judo, and Aamka-jutsu. Having Achieved Black Belts in Karate, Tae Kwon do, Judo, Japanese ju-jutsu, aiki-jujutsu, Chinese Kempo and Aamkajutsu, he became a Full-Contact Karate & Sambo Champion.
